Adrian Pleșca and Răzvan Moldovan have been making noise together since the early 1970s; in 1982, they founded Timpuri Noi, releasing almost half an album in 1989 before taking a break. The new millennium finds them in Partizan, where they release two fantastic albums before taking another hiatus. Reunited in 2010, they explore various musical directions throughout the following decade, with the band’s current lineup solidified in 2019 by the addition of bassist Adrian Agheniței.
The album “Nori peste Sălăjan” marks their return to Electrecord with a collection of old and new tracks. The themes range from introspection and urban melancholy to social irony and clever wordplay — all supported by a modern sound with strong electronic influences, yet still retaining the distinctive vibe that has defined the band since the 2000s.
