We make every effort to ensure that the product description is accurate, but nevertheless, www.retrospace.ro does not guarantee that the presentation of the products or any other content is error-free or always complete.

The images of the products on the website are divided into two categories: (1) illustrative for vinyl records, CDs, cassettes and any other music format presented on the website; and (2) real for all audio equipment presented on the site. (1) The illustrative pictures are in accordance with the presented product, but they are generic pictures, taken from the Internet. They are not real pictures taken at the showroom, so www.retrospace.ro does not hold any copyright or ownership of them. (2) The actual photos represent photos taken at the showroom to show in detail the condition of the equipment actually delivered, and are exclusively the property of www.retrospace.ro. The images are made at an amateur level, so it must be taken into account that the appearance may differ from reality, but we try to capture all the necessary details.

www.retrospace.ro does not guarantee the availability of the displayed products in stock - for reasons such as buying directly from the store without updating the stock on the website or in case of technical errors occurring when loading the data on the website (stock errors, pictures, price, description products, characteristics, etc.), which is why the company will have the right not to deliver a certain order in part or in full if certain products no longer appear in the supplier's current offer or are unavailable. Orders are honored after checking stock and prices. The consumer has the right to unilaterally terminate the distance contract and to return the products within 14 working days, without penalties and without citing any reason. The only costs that can be borne by the consumer are the direct costs of returning the products. Please contact us in such cases, we always prefer the amicable resolution of disagreements.

We specify that we are attentive to these details and errors, and we update the stock as quickly as possible. In the case of direct purchase of a product from the store during the purchase on the website, the shopping cart will immediately display a message of the unavailability of the product in question. On the website, from the moment the product is added to the shopping basket, the same product cannot be purchased until (1) the customer deletes the product from the basket and it becomes available again, (2) the stock is completed, (3) the order is not completed and the basket is deleted by the website administrator. Attention - the product automatically becomes unavailable if another customer completes an order containing the same product before you.

An important mention: as I stated previously, the vast majority of the products on the site are used products, which show signs of wear or use due to years or decades of use. We try to describe the condition of the products and the grading of the vinyl discs / CDs / audio cassettes as accurately and accurately as possible. However, inconsistencies may appear between the condition initially described and that of the pre-delivery check - in this case, as in the case of inconsistencies, you will be contacted. We bring these matters to your attention in order to avoid the usual waits when ordering new products from online stores, these are not new products.

5.1. Grading of products and other specific terms

In grading the condition of the vinyl / CD / audio cassette items, in the 'Media/cover condition' section, the Goldmine international standard (as follows) was used, applied responsibly, in most cases sub-grading was preferred. As specified in the description of each product, all discs are sent in an outer protective film. The inner protective foil is changed if it is not the original one and is significantly damaged.

Before describing the qualifications from the Goldmine standard, we specify the following terms used on our website:

Original Insert Sleeve (OIS): Where OIS is specified, it means that the disc contains the original inner cover (as well as other inserts).

Lyrics Sheet: The disc contains the original insert with the lyrics of the songs.

Spindle Marks: The disc shows signs of wear around the entry hole on the platter. Usually, this happens either if the disc is listened to a lot, or in the case of newer presses where spindle marks appear much more easily.

Hairlines: Term used for very fine scratches, often similar to a strand of hair, mostly caused by improper storage of the disc outside of listening time.

Ringwear: The outer cover shows traces of discoloration that follow the shape of the disc inside. Practically, a relief exit of the disc from under the cover.

Foxing: A discoloration of the outer cover, generally in the form of yellowish-brown spots, which appear when the cover "doesn't breathe". For example, under the OBI band on discs pressed in Japan, the phenomenon of foxing is often encountered.

Shelf wear: Term used when the outer cover of a disc shows signs of wear on the side edges.

LP format: When LP appears in the formats, it means that the disc is Long Play or Album.

Format 12": When the format shows 12", it means that the disc is Single or Maxi Single in the 12-inch hybrid format.

Format 7": When the format shows 7", it means that the disc is Single in the classic 7-inch format.

Generic (Cover): When XX/Generic appears in the grading of the media disc/cover, it means that the disc is not in its original cover, but in a generic cover (usually black or white cardboard).

No cover / no cover: When the grading of the media disc/cover shows XX/No cover or XX/No cover, it means that the disc is not in its original cover nor in a generic one, but only in a plastic film or cover interior.

Mint (M)

Vinyl - Absolutely perfect in every way. It has certainly never been listened to, possibly still sealed. We use this qualifier very rarely, only if the disc is sealed.

CD - Perfect. No scratch, nothing, untouched, possibly still sealed.

Inner sleeve / inlay / booklet, etc. - No signs of wear, distinct marks, or any other imperfection, possibly still sealed.

Audio cassette - The J-Card is clear, clean and perfect from all points of view. The box is new and professionally produced. To be used only very rarely.

Near Mint (NM or M-)

Vinyl - A nearly perfect record. A NM or M- record has probably never been listened to and the vinyl will play perfectly with no imperfections during playback. The recording must not show obvious signs of wear. A 45 RPM or EP sleeve should have no more than the slightest flaws, such as any signs of light handling. The cover must not show creases, folds, splits, cut holes or other similar defects. The same should apply to any other inserts, such as posters, lyric inserts, etc.

Basically, we will grade NM or M- discs that show no visible signs of wear, a new unsealed disc.

CD - Almost perfect. There are no obvious signs of use, it may have been listened to, but it has been handled with great care.

Inner sleeve / inlay / booklet, etc. - Almost perfect. No obvious wear, may have only the slightest signs of handling.

Audio Cassette - The sleeve must be fully visible and clean with only the slightest signs of handling. The band is probably new without any wear or damage.

Excellent (EX):

EX is an intermediate grading between VG+ and NM given to a disc that may show superficial signs of wear on both the media and the cover, but it is flawless from an auditory point of view.

Very Good Plus (VG+)

Vinyl - A Very Good Plus recording will show some signs of having been listened to and otherwise handled by a previous owner who cared for it. Defects should be more cosmetic in nature, without affecting the actual playback as a whole. The recorded surfaces may show some signs of wear and may have slight scuffs or scratches, but which do not affect the quality of the hearing. Minimal ripples that do not affect the sound are "OK". The label may have some wear around the center ring or some discoloration, but it should be barely noticeable. Certain marks may be present on the spindle. The pictures and inner sleeves will have slight wear, slightly turned corners or a slight tear. An LP cover may have slight signs of wear and may be marked by a cut hole, indentation or a cut corner. Overall, barring two minor things wrong, this disc would be a Near Mint.

Basically, we will grade VG+ discs in very good condition, with aesthetic defects that do not affect the quality of the audition.

CD - Some small 'chips' / scratches. This CD has been listened to, but handled with care - and certainly not abused.

Inner sleeve / inlay / booklet, etc. - Light wear, marks, indentations, may have a hole cut out (or similar).

Audio Cassette - Case has light wear, marks, indentations and/or may have a cut out hole (or similar). The tape has been very well cared for and may have light marks or wear to the spindle. It should sound clean with minimal noise or distortion.

Very Good (VG)

Vinyl - Many of the flaws found on a VG+ recording will be more pronounced on a VG disc. Surface noise will be evident when playing, especially in soft passages and during song introductions and endings, but it won't affect or overpower the music otherwise. Wear and tear will start to show, as will light scratches (deep enough to feel with your fingernail) that will affect the sound. Labels may be marked with writing or have tapes or stickers (or their residues) attached. The same will be valid for the images or the inner sleeves and the outer covers. However, it will not have all these problems at the same time. Goldmine Price Guides with more than one price will mark "VG" with the lowest price.

Basically, we will grade VG discs that show obvious signs of wear, with scratches that are audible.

CD - Fairly many 'chips' / scratches or several more pronounced scratches. This CD has obviously been listened to, but not treated as carefully as a VG+.

Inner sleeve / inlay / booklet, etc. - More wear, marks, indentations than a VG+. May have slight discoloration, a small tear/tear or some writing.

Case - The case will contain more wear / indentation than a VG+. May have slight discoloration, a small tear/tear or some writing. Case may have wear marks heavier than VG+, including plastic discoloration. Louder background noise should be heard, but not enough to overpower the music.

Good (G), Good Plus (G+)

Vinyl - A recording in Good or Good+ condition can be played without skipping tracks, but will have significant surface noise, scratches and visible groove wear. A cover or sleeve will have splits at the seams, especially at the bottom or spine. There will be tape, inscriptions, ring wear or other defects. While the recording will be playable without skipping, noticeable surface noise and skips will almost certainly accompany playback.

CD - Has lots of 'chips' / scratches. However, it will still play music without any problems. This CD has not been treated with much care.

Inner sleeve / inlay / booklet, etc. - Lots of wear, marks, more obvious, fading than a VG - possibly a more significant tear.

Case - Case will be heavily worn, marked and contain obvious indentations, discoloration and/or writing, more than a VG grade - possibly more significant tear. The band will have heavy wear on the casing. Felt stopper may be missing. The tape may have smaller creases, but not be torn. It must play with noises, it can have a heavier decay that will overpower the music.

Poor (P), Fair (F)

Vinyl - The disc is cracked, warped and will not play without skipping or repeating. Images will be water damaged, split across all three seams and heavily marked with wear and tear. The cover barely holds the LP inside it. The inner sleeves are completely split, creased and written.

CD - The CD may or may not play some or all of the tracks. See seller comments for details.

Inner sleeve / inlay / booklet, etc. - Very worn. It may have obvious writing, be torn or significantly discolored, or damaged by water.

Case - Cover will be torn, heavily colored, showing general damage or partially missing. The tape will also be heavily damaged, showing complete face fading, wrinkled tape, missing screws or teeth, stains, and other heavy wear. The tape will stop playing.
