"The recordings made by Romica Puceanu together with Taraful Fraților Gore during the entire period of the 60s capture a musical art at its peak, balanced and serene, still open to transformations - as the following decades would show - but on the - fully mature and crystallized.
Those interested in genuine fiddle music can find here its oldest repertoire, the most solid stylistic trunk and an impeccable technique, sincere, free of unnecessary pretensions. Therefore, a perfect art - with nothing lower than its urban faces conceived in other corners of the planet, swing jazz, fado or rebetiko - which is always waiting to be rediscovered.
The initiative of Electrecord to reissue in three volumes planned to appear over a period of three years all the recordings of this wonderful artistic period of Romică Puceanu - the 60s, the decade in which she was accompanied by the Taraful Fraților Gore - can only be the fulfillment of a moral obligation. "
The present album reproduces the music from Romică Puceanu's first records released in 1964.
