Folosit ca difuzor de monitorizare în studiourile de înregistrări și ca difuzor de referință în laboratoarele de testare din întreaga lume, NS-1000M și-a făcut un nume ca unul dintre cele mai bune difuzoare disponibile în acest segment aglomerat al pieței audio.
Utilizând cupolele unice de beriliu cu depunere de vapori puri de la Yamaha pentru difuzoarele de frecvențe medii și înalte și bazându-se pe abilitățile Yamaha în prelucrarea lemnului, turnarea metalelor și designul acustic, această boxă este specială în toate privințele.
